Use the following instructions to utilize the campus's wireless network. Make sure your computer has a wireless network card and that it is turned on before attempting the following steps. Many laptops will have an on and off switch for the wireless card.
| In the residence halls: |

Windows Vista
- Go to Start -> Network -> Network and Sharing Center
- Click Connect to Network.
- Under "Wireless Network Connection" look for the 'resnet' wireless network and double click it. If you do not see it, try clicking the refresh button.
- Your computer will begin connecting to the network. When it finishes you should get a popup bubble in the corner near your clock. If you have already registered your computer into ResNet, you are done. If not, please continue.
- After your computer finishes connecting to the wireless network, open up a web browser and browse to any webpage.
- If your computer is not registered in the ResNet network, you will be taken to the registration webpage. Follow the instructions on these pages to register your computer. You will need your campus username and password available. Your username is your first initial, followed by your last name, followed by the last 4 digits of your college-wide ID (CWID.) If you have not changed it your password should be set to your full CWID with the capital A. if you are unable to login, contact the ResNet helpdesk.

In Academic Buildings and Outdoors:

Windows Vista

- Under "Wireless Network Connection" look for the 'wsc' wireless network and double click it. If you do not see it, try clicking the refresh button.
- Your computer will begin connecting to the network. When it finishes you should get a popup bubble in the corner near your clock.
- Open up a web browser. Browse to any webpage. You will be automatically be redirected to the wireless login page. Use your campus username and password to login.
