June 13, 2009 10:24:38 PM At approximately 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2009, there was a power outage that affected the entire campus. A power spike caused an irrecoverable failure in a critical piece of equipment that allowed campus connectivity to and from off campus. As of this e-mail, service has been fully restored. As we await the replacement part, there will be a decrease in the available bandwidth on our wireless networks. All other systems are fully operational. Any e-mail that was sent between 6:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. will be delivered as the system processes the queued mail.
When the replacement part arrives, the only required interruption will be in the Woodward Center. We will accomplish this after normal business hours and notify the campus community as to when exactly this downtime will take place.
June 6, 2009 6:07:09 PM The Ely Macintosh computer lab will be closed for the duration of the summer due to reconstruction of the third floor communications department area. We apologize for any inconvenience. We will provide the new location of the third floor lab on the "Labs" page upon completion of the construction.

October 24, 2008 11:11:20 AM There is a intermittent internet connectivity issue that is affecting the response time and performance of the internet on our campus. At this time, we are researching and troubleshooting the issue. We are also in contact with our ISP, the University of Massachusetts Office of Information Technology, to ensure that our connection has not been affected by any maintenance they may be performing or some hardware failure. We will keep you up to date as more information becomes available.
